Park and Joy Ride

Motorists have been warned about a rogue company called Pink Meet and Greet a company offering parking services out of Londons Gatwick Airport. The only problem is Pink actually seem to offer a 'Park and Joy Ride' facility that could cost you plenty and also put doubts on your motor insurance cover as to whom could be responsible for damages.

It appears Pink have been taking cars and keys from customers arriving at Gatwick on the pretense they will take the motor car and park it in a secure parking area until the customer arrives back from their trip to be reunited with their car. The fact is Pink have been taking cars and simply parking them on public roads, trading estates and when the cars look a little tasty they have actually used the vehicles for personal use.

In these circumstances there are clearly going to be issues in relation to your motor insurance cover because if the vehicle is damaged or indeed written off there could be accusations that motor insurance cover is not liable for paying for any losses. This story hit the headlines when national paper the Sun and television programme Watchdog reported that one motorist found out his car had been used by Pink and driven at over 100 miles per hour and another returned to find five grands worth of vehicle damage and illegal drugs left in his car.
