Losing Your Driving Licence

Motorists can face stiff penalties if they break the law of the highways and ultimately they can lose their driving licence if certain conditions are met are they are ordered to by a court judge. There are a number of ways in which losing your driving licence can become a reality.

For experienced drivers with years of driving experience one of the most popular causes of licence loss occurs when they accumulate points on their driving licence that then exceed the maximum limit which currently stands at 12 points.

This then means they will have to then re-apply for a provisional licence and yes it all starts over again with them having to re-take their driving test. And this means both the theory and the practical test. In some cases others might also have to take the extended test which involves more specialist situations such as motorway driving.
