Swinton Merges to Strengthen Online Presence

Top insurance broker Swintons has merged with its sister company its4me.co.uk in a calculated move to improve its web presence and online business. It is reported that Swintons will introduce its4me policies through the Swintons branches as the year progresses which will in effect finalise the completed merger.

The suggestion from all of this should allow those members of the public who have purchased their insurance policies over the internet to be able to see which Swintons branch handles the case. Swintons believe that this merger will strengthen them to the top of the tree of UK brokers with in excess of 2.25 million policies. In 2006 Swintons GWP gross written premiums were some �440 million pounds.

Whilst there is a growing trend amongst consumers to buy online Swintons still hold value on the personal touch, with this merger there will certainly be a mix of both in the pot.
