Fraudulent Insurance Documentation

The UK could be under threat of a spate of bogus insurance documentation after police in Blackpool seized thousands of car insurance documents from a printers in Blackpool, Lancs.

The biggest fear is consumers will have innocently purchased car insurance from bogus companies who will be subsequently issuing this insurance documentation. Police have announced that the fraud surrounds duplicate insurance documentation relating to Equity Red Star car insurance all with same policy numbers which are 054656187, motorists are being urged to check their insurance documentation to make sure they have not been caught in the scam.

Police are also warnings UK motorists who have been given monthly cover notes relating to ‘Tradex Insurance Company’ from insurance brokers Abacans in Preston. All the motor insurance cover notes have the number - 7688675, again insurance documentation is requested to be checked as a matter of urgency.

A 40 year old Blackpool man has been arrested an will appear in court in relation to the matter.
