Frightening statistics from Sainsburys survey highlights major home insurance concern

Leading supermarket Sainsburys have conducted research that indicates one in ten homes in the UK have inadequate or simply no contents home insurance.

The shocking statistics highlight that just under 5 million people who could and should have contents home insurance currently have no protection what so ever.

The Sainsburys research indicated that the areas with the best levels of home insurance cover were Scotland and Yorkshire where over 90% have vital contents home insurance. The area that came out worst in the research by Sainsburys was the West Midlands.

For a nation so obsessed with property and possessions it seems incomprehensible that we don't protect ourselves sufficiently with contents home insurance. Is it the fact that home insurance is simply too expensive, well not according to most people then it has to be that we simply have a built in Kamikaze attitude or a don't care feature indoctrinated into our modern day attitude.

According to the Sainsburys research at least 10 percent of those surveyed simply did not know why they didn't have contents home insurance.
