Household name Norwich Union finally dissolves into global brand
For many of us the names Norwich Union and Aviva have gone hand in hand for some time now, but Aviva, the parent and global insurance giant have now decided the time is right to re-brand a number of their worldwide companies into the single brand name of Aviva.
Employing nearly sixty thousand staff Aviva want the corporate identity to become the single name on everyone's lips across the world, helping them to be recognised as the huge company they actually are and also to help them attract the best of the best when it comes to high profile staff.
Norwich Union insurance has become a household name over the years and the yellow corporate colours are imbedded in our heads along with the brand itself.
The movement of the Norwich Union identity into Aviva brand is expected to take a couple of years and the company believe the move will be a positive strategy to bolster confidence with the public and the many business relationships that surround it.
The move is also expected to strengthen the insurance companies share price and satisfy its thousands of shareholders who will see the company as one rather than groups under the proverbial Aviva umbrella
